April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th day of July, started taking piano and guitar lessons from age seven. The passion for songwriting was awakened. When she was in seventh grade, April began taking guitar and piano lessons. It sparked her interest in songwriting. When she was 14, April devoted much of her time writing and practicing songs. Soon after she began taking trips to write with father, who lived in NY and LA. The month also saw her include additional topics that were related to of her peers who are dealing with such things as social pressure and teen suicide in the song Take my Hand. Lockhart is a popular figure and also works as a lifestyle blogger with the renowned Ilia Clean Beauty brand. She has a disability that is a component of her persona, however it is not the whole of the picture. Because of this, her Instagram account does not shy away from her disability, but it doesn't center around it as well. What message is it sending? We are all more than just our physical self. Our identities are complicated and encompass a variety of dimensions. Lockhart through a video message sent from her Nashville at home, claims that I don't wish for that to be a part of my character. I'm greater than the physical person I am. This doesn't have any effect on my daily life. I conduct everything normally and I've found my own method of adjusting to things. But, I consider it to be a vital component of my life. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken is one that will last an entire lifetime. She can be a role model with regard to this. However, she admits to going through phases of being uncomfortable with her body, and also feeling uncomfortable in certain clothes which exposed her arms. The woman now puts on whatever clothes she wants and posts pictures on Facebook with pride. It's a journey is the key thing I'm not sure if you ever arrive she says of self-love. The same is true for everybody regardless of their levels of anxiety. It's essential to have those around you who are aware of and understand the way you feel. They will be the ones to ask what you fret about?
